Febris allows users to easily add medicine by capturing an image of the medicine box & insurance card.

The app uses OCR to help elderly users add medicine by capturing an image, automatically filling in the required fields and reducing the difficulty of manual entry. If there are any inaccuracies, users can either retake the photo or edit the details manually.

Users can see online/offline status and swipe on a contact for options like:

  • Mark Unread: Allows doctors and case managers to mark messages as 'Unread' for later review.
  • Delete & Archive: Ensures HIPAA compliance by removing patient data if requested.

This page took inspiration from Apple Health or Samsung Health for a familiar user experience, as most users were on iOS.

The design prioritizes highly readable typography for improved usability. The data charts are customized to display daily, weekly, and 6-month averages, based on the interactions between doctors, case managers, and patients.

Conclusion

Working on Febris, a U.S.-based health app for elderly patients, doctors, and case managers, showed me how design can truly improve lives. I was proud to create features like image recognition, helping elderly users easily enter medical and insurance info, reigniting my passion for design.
